Haha "'ello"...
That reminds of of that one Kellogg's commercial which, correct me if I'm wrong, has a line that goes a little something like this...
"I like the box because, in the middle of the word 'Kellogg's', it's 'ello', like a British greeting...'ello Gov'na'"
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Yes?
No?
Sorry, what's that? You don't care? ...and you want me to do what? Goodness gracious, do watch your language kind citizen.
Anyhooerhow...I dug up (if you can call typing the words "raisin bran" into the YouTube search engine "digging"...oh yes...'twas a strenuous excavation indeed...) the commercial for those of you who haven't seen it...and for those of you who are like me and like watching silly things millions of times because you're easily amused to the point where it becomes slightly questionable:
Righto. Well...enough of that.
Ok...well, I must admit I'm still not quite over it myself...and since I found the video, I've watched it 3 times (and counting). But we really must be moving on...ok...ok...moving on...
"'ello".
Goddammit!
Pardon.
Ahem. Right. So...about the DRAWING, it was inspired by the TV show "America's Next Top Model"...I'm not really an avid fan of the show...I only watch bits and pieces of it here and there and way over there...I do think it's an interesting show, it's just that...I always forget to watch it...oh, hmm...I guess I don't find it as interesting as I think I do...
Anways, this was inspired by last week's (actually, I can't remember if it was last week's or the week before last week's) "Next Top Model" episode, where they did the "circus freaks" photo shoot...seeing some of the cool costume designs, makeup and sets they came up with made me want to create my own piece of couture (more or less). Thus, I decided to create a mock fashion photo (aka "drawing"...but "mock fashion photo" just sounds way cooler don'cha think?) based on an interpretation of Dr. Seuss' celebrated Cat in the Hat...because I wanted to. Dr. Seuss is a favorite artist of mine and someone I greatly admire...thusly, I thought it would be fun to draw something based on his characters/style...and it was.
I am still chuckling at the thought of the Raisin Bran commercial...it's simply brilliant. Brill.

That is actually a really gorgeous outfit, and fits really well with the original Suess design. I love how her umbrella/tights match her hat. And I must say! I love how you did the fluffy skirt!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
