I didn't even think it'd be blood, I thought it was like a curtain, or something. Like the really heavy ones you get in theatres and cinemas.

I like very much how vague the portrait seems to be, as if hiding something. The face is in shadows, and we're not able to see the eyes... brilliant.

I think the reason people think blood is because it seems to be drizzling down in a way rather reminiscent of James Bond openings :D Anyway, it doesn't matter so much what other people think it means as what you think it means :) But yeah, the brushwork and lighting are fantastic :) Very cool

Thats gorgeous. I tip my hat to you, your work impresses me. Even if it was made at 12 am. I honestly believe some of my best work is done late at night. Your self portrait isn't gory looking at all, so I'm not sure you have to worry about that. I don't know why people think its blood, it looks alot like a tattered curtain or something of the sort. Great work.

Oh I wish I could paint like that, but I have NO hand for working with colors on a brush at all...

Oooh, it's kinda creepy how your eyes are all in shadow with no reflection of light from them. And I love the contrast between your white clothes and the dark and red bg. Really awesome self-portrait overall. ^___^

I really really REALLY like this.. the contrast of her bright shirt against the darker.. colors XD Anyway I'm not entirely sure what I love about this but something really gets me about it. Maybe it's something about the way she's looking..
