Yeah, well, I've made a move to go back into doing some celebrity portraits just for kicks. So far I have this one of Orlando Bloom and another one of Amy Lee...and yeah probably some other ones but I haven't confirmed of who yet...any suggestions?

Anyhow, as you can see my techinical skills for depicting realistic people has declined as this is quite unimpressive. Sorry you have to put up with this but I just felt compelled to share a WIP as it's been a long while since I've done this sort of thing. I couldn't even get the sketch right at first.

I started this right after I did my Angelina Jolie portrait but then I got bored...so I'm picking it back up now. Perhaps I'll have it done soon. Perhaps not. :P I just picked this picture because I thought it would be an interesting challenge to draw such a close up portrait...but that was before I got bored. I kinda just wanted to draw the big eye and the big nose. :XD: And yeah, apparantly I'm also going to have to draw in the pores, which sounds like it'll be a drag but who knows...maybe I'll enjoy drawing Orlando's pores...:D Joy joy...

Wow, that one is really beautiful! I mean, oozing with skill. I wish I could stuff like that. Its almost got a watercolour look to it.


My only critique (and its a small one) is that the contrast underneath his eyes seems a lil too dramatic, you know? The whites just a lil too white next to the dark, making him look a lil tired or older. But other than that minor detail, its a great peice and I can't wait to see it finished.

Wow, how can I put this, Orlando Bloom face has been absolutely captured here, he has a face like any other good looking actor but you managed to specifically captured his essence! Great job, can't wait to see the finished drawing :D
