I don't really like this one.

There's a crease in the middle 'cause my mom folded it (long story short, I had to dig it out of the recycling bin outside)...but that's not really what bothers me about it. I don't know why I don't like it really...I just don't think it turned out very well. It looks better in person because the scan was pretty crummy...but still...it's just...unimpressive. Oh wells. :shrug:

Orlando Bloom is not a subject I would have chosen for myself as I'm not really a BIG fan...this is just what I decided to do as a birthday present for a friend of mine. Yeah, I admit it. I'm one of those lame people who give art as presents. :P I hope she likes it better than I do.

Just a reminder, when I say I'm not really a big fan of Orlando, that's not in any way synonymous with saying he's a terrible person and I hate him or whatnot...so please don't kill me. I mean, I'll certainly watch a movie with him in it no problem...he's quite adorable, he's not bad looking, and he's not a horrible actor...but I'm not going to watch what otherwise seems like crappy movie just because he's in it, like some other people I know and have encountered...I'm not that crazy about him...you'll never hear me say, "OMG like OMG OMG Orlando BLOOM OMG soooooooo cute!!!!! I HART ORLANDO!!!!!!!" or anything of that nature while my sanity is still intact...oh come on...don't be offended...you know who you are...crazy nutters...I still love you though. :XD: :glomp:

I must admit that I do looove his accent...but then again, that might just be my odd obsession with English accents speaking...:drool:

I find this video incredibly hilarious. Particularly the parts when the woman is talking. I think it's partly because they remind me of this bit from Lost in Translation, [link] .
His random expression making and fidgeting crack me up, because I have the same bad habits...and this video makes me realize how weird and awkward I must look.
I like how he like looks around and drinks...but every time the lady finishes talking, he nods and smiles and goes "Mmm" like he's completely in the know. :lol: Cute.

I also find Orlando's comment at 1:22 or so in this
video [link] quite amusing. Usually, I don't "lol" at things I see or read on the computer, but this one made me laugh and clap my hands once. :XD:

Anyhow, this drawing pisses me off. I wasn't going to post it at first but then I thought..."Well, I've had the WIP up for so long that people have started asking me if I've finished it"...so yeah. Here it is. Whooo....

i have no idea what you're on about because this is absolutely amazing. if i could draw so life-like... well, i would. >_< but yeah. this is beautiful. i love the lines throughout his face and across his brow... i don't know what exactly you'd call them, but they add a lot to the picture.

Rises far above the standard celebrity portrait to suggest something personal and deeply felt-- and Mom's crease in the middle somehow adds to the whole effect in a really interesting way. Beautifully drawn!

You know, you have the same issues as me.. I dont really like him, but you know... the drawing is perfect! 0.0 You have great skills and if even if you dont like the person or just the drawing, you should recognize how well you've done this piece! ^^

Maybe the reason you don't like it is because you are not a huge fan of Orlando. I find that I hate all of the artwork that I did for other people and had no connection with the subject. As for the quality of this piece I think you did an outstanding job and should be proud of it.

well i think it is a great job you did on this even though you dont like it.
im not a huge fan of him either though i used to be but to tell you the truth i love him in the Lord of the rings lol

I don't know what it is that you don't like about it...aside from the crease ;)
I think it looks great! I'm not a fan either, myself, but I agree with many others that he's very photogenic.
I think you picked an excellent picture to do, in terms of pose, because it goes with the sort of rough blending effect you used, and with the darkness and everything. :nod:
