This was a commissioned piece I did for a friend, who requested for me to do an interpretation of a dream she had.
I do not feel it is my right to disclose the exact details of her description, as it is her personal dream, not mine. It's just my drawing of the dream. So instead, I'll just tell you about the drawing.
This drawing is meant to reflect the nature of being inside a dream...which basically means...it is not meant to make sense in any way. It's meant to be completely convoluted and ambiguous...much like an actual dream. Therefore, nothing in the drawing is very sharply defined...everything's just sort of...intermingled and bleeding into the next thing and a part of whatever pops up next. In the complete randomness of it all...everything is related.
If you look at the image long enough...it's meant to make you feel stupid (as in dazed)...as if you're walking through some sort of dream reality...it's supposed to make your eyes go in circles, kind of like hypnosis...or at least, that was my original intention, I'm not sure how well I succeeded... It works on me...but that might just be because I've just holed myself in my room drawing this and several other things for 7 hours without eating...I know...I'm stupid (as in idiodic)...I had nothing else to do today...so yeah. I might be a bit delirious. So if you're reading this and going, "What the heck? Are you on crack woman?" No I'm not, but I might as well be, so pardon my incoherence.
The one I just posted "Wings of Paper" was the last thing I did in like 30 minutes as a way of winding down. Aaaand that was a completely random comment. It's official. I've lost it.
I took some cues from the work of the wonderful Salvador Dali for this piece...I mean...who's style would be more appropriate for the interpretation of such a dream?
So yeah. That's pretty much everything you need to know about this. Or actually, I just feel like stopping because my eyes are getting kind of tired...sorry I didn't really go into detail. If you really want to know though, there are 3 figures and a spiderweb in the drawing. I'll leave the rest up to you. Good day.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

actually feel at ease looking at it, youth and age- life... the background kind of puts one at ease about an otherwise unpleasant lifecycle.
