I can definitely relate to this. The arms and hands are used as a shield to avoid any contact with friends, family, and even oneself. The pose is refreshing as it's not the cliche kind of "oh, I'm so sad and depressed", hands grasping face kind of pose. You've just made it interesting, is what I'm trying to say... Actually, I don't know what I'm saying.

It's a wonderful piece, though. =)
